i'm back from holiday about a week ago!! :)
had some really fun time with vivien and gang haha :D especially the kayaking adventure!! ^^v

haha.. i have a TAN LINE NOW!!!! but i hate it -.- the colour stinks.. LOL

OH YES!! i also have another interesting story to share too!! ^^v quite a scary ordeal though :P so.. stay around if u wish to read about it..

headed to kuching via plane on the first day!! :) :) lol.. saw how fast vivien teared when the plane was on its way up.. hehehehe.. she seems to be very afraid of the "drop" feeling.. even in bubble lifts too :P luckily i have long honed that fear when i went to australia years ago :P jia you vivien.. i'm sure u will grow out of it soon :)

we arrvied at kuching and went straight to the city center in search of our guesthouse :)
went for a stroll along along the waterfront after we unloaded our lugguages :) den explored around the place a little :) managed to book ourselves a cultural village tour and a city tour at the guesthouse. vivien, her sis (violet) and deb went to the village.. while cheryl and i went to city tour :)

well.. i didn't went to the village tour coz from past experiences, village tours are kinda mock-ups of the real villages where they have dancers or the actors themselves staying over at the site..

well.. will only post the kayak trip today.. shall post the city area once deb sends the pics over :) here are the pictures!! :) on the second day.. we woke up real early to prepare oursleves for the kayak trip :) met our guides ivy and jackson.. den they drove us up to the river :)

they drove us to the ending point to load up the kayaks on the car.. den headed down to the starting point. we stopped by in the middle of the journey to have a look at some pitcher plants!!!

of course, not to forget some basic training and safety instructions first :)

kayaked quite a few hours into the river.. and saw really nice rock formations, trees, and nearby villages.. also had some insight about floods in the region etc, etc.. the flood were even over the canopies of the taller trees in the past!!

had some fun with water fight too wahaha..got splashed left.right center -.-

den after that.. our guides took us to a waterfall!!!! WOOHOOOO~!!!!! we had to leave the kayaks and set on foot about a few metres away from the riverbanks in order to head to the waterfall.. had a little trouble getting to the watefall..coz the rocks were really slippery.. :) vivien fell on her bottom lol.. and i was the slowest.. coz i really didn't wanna injure myself.. so i took my time.. besides.. i dont think i can afford another injury to my back again :) but yeah!!! we reached!!! ^^v

had our lunch at a nearby riverbank.. our guides brought us authentic sarawak KOLO MEE~!!! yummy~!!! :) :) yup.. the kolo mee here is a farcry from the ones in sg!! the sg's ones are fake!! lol.. sarawak is the original birthplace of kolomee :) had fruits and cake too :)

and here is where some of us are also bitten by sandflies!! haiz.. they are such a nuisance -.-
and poor cheryl had 100+ over bites PER LEG. yes, i;m not kidding.. lol 100+ per leg.. we know coz we counted them when we were on our way back to sg.. hahahaha..

mine was mild.. lucky me.. coz i kept moving my legs while i was eating.. hehe can train ab mucsles also!! :P and the reason why cheryl had so many?? :P haiz.. what to do when u have beautiful long legs :P MUST FLAUNT!!! woot~!! *weet-u-weet*

alrights!!! basically that was our kayak adventure!! :) all the pics are taken by our guide ivy :) hehe.. and they even burn a free copy of cd for yours to keep!!! ^^v

we had the best guides ever :) they were so thoughtful in their service.. thinking of all the small details to bring along and stuff :) water, caps, insect repellent etc etc.. u name it.. they have it :) therefore dont worry if u forgot to bring along yours!! :)
so guys!! if u have friends who are going to kuching for a holiday.. dont hesitate to join this kayak adventure!! ^^V :)

OH YES!!! about the story i promised!!! haha.. well.. cheryl, vivien and i were the ones taking the train back to sg from kl :) and u wouldn't believe what happened!

ahem *clears throat*

it all happened in Kluang station when the engine had some faults... so the train captains told us to head off to grab a quick bite.. therefore, vivien and i headed down to buy dinner :) it was about 7.30pm den :) but halfway up queuing at the stall.. most of the passengers were running back to the train without collecting their food.. they also feared that the train would leave without them..
bcoz the stall was at the back of the train station.. the partition kinda blocked of the sight of the train... therefore many ppl had to go back to double check..

fearing the same thing.. vivien and i decided to quickly buy some otahs and snacks and headed back to the train.. we finished up the otahs.. but cheryl was still hugnry.. so i suggested maybe she wanted to head down to buy some mroe food.. since the train wasn't going to be ready any moment.. so as precaution.. i told them to check with the captain when the train was going to leave..

so this time.. vivien went down with cheryl..

and they never came back T-T
ARGHHHH~!!!!!! i was stuck alone on the train!!! with all the lugguages!!! plus.. cheryl's passport was with me coz she left her bag with me... omg.. i told myself to calm down and think of how to get back into contact with them...borrowed phone from the girl who was sitting beside us.. and also reported the incident to the captain..

had to walk alllll the way to the back of the train to speak to them.. explained the situation..
so they told me to wait for them at jb station for the next train since cheryl's passport was with me.. i headed back to my seat and looked out for the jb station..

although the wait was about 2 hours or so.. it seemed like AGES!!! soon enough.. the train came.. and i was so relieved to see them waving back frantically at me on the train lol..
we were reunited!!!! lol.. den we recounted the incident with both of our versions.. :P

it was a real scary thing.. but luckily we were safe.. and the irony of it was that.. cheryl had told us that she dreamt that we missed the train that morning.. and we told her that "dreams are always the opposite of reality" LOL.. guess not this time :P

well.. i guess that's all for now..it's been a long post!! ^^V

really miss hanging out with the regulars!!!
hope u guys are doing well!!! :) and meet up soon k!! haizz u guys are mostly on my mind everytime haha.. got so much to tell u guys..
